Job Summary

To assist Merchandising Manager and Brand Manager in handling the business of respective cluster by focusing in stock planning and analysis,  achieving budget sales and sell-through, managing buys according to budget and prompt follow-up in day-today operations in the department

Job Responsibilities

• Handle merchandising planning and coordination of seasonal buy, from pre-buying to shipment follow up
• Assist to analyse, monitor and control inventory movement through timely analysis and preparation of relevant business reports
• Assist in stock analysis and sell through to maximise stock liquidation among available outlets
• Liaise with regional office on pricing and discounts mechanism
• Propose other means to encourage stock liquidation as fast as within/within timeline with well managed pricing and sales plans
• Prepare and conduct product training for staff

Stock Management
• Receive and update system on stock movement.
• Conclude landed cost to facilitate receiving.
• Liaising and coordinating with regional brand/merchandising team, M’sia Warehouse team and Outlet Retail Manager in stock transfer/movement.
• Monitor, inspect damaged and faulty stocks to ascertain extend and cause of damage and propose for write-off as required.
• To correspond with supplier, negotiating for claim of full credit or replacement of damaged stock as necessary.
• To keep track of damaged stock from numbers for each shop for accounting purpose.

Shipments
• To follow-up on shipment deliveries with principals, regional office and local Logistics team
• To negotiate discounts / cancellations for non-performance / late deliveries with principals.
• To provide information for and update shipment status report regularly.
• To monitor and alert suppliers for forward season shipments in order to ensure early deliveries.
• To liaise with local Logistics team to advise on each season shipments and relevant priority listing.
• To prioritize clearance of shipments from warehouse to stores in co-ordination with regional office

Job Requirements

• Degree in Merchandising, Fashion Management, Business or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in similar role
• Experience in retail sales is an added advantage
• Proficient in MS Excel and Office
• Strong numeric and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Have sense of urgency, flexible and able to multi-task
